Kynance Cove Beach – Fun and Adventure on a beautiful beach
Kynance Cove Beach
A very popular and scenic cove. Mostly covered at high tide, but lovely golden sand at low tide. Great family beach. National Trust Car park with a path to the beach. There are no lifeguards on duty at Kynance Cove beach.
Kynance Cove Beach
There are two paths and it is a good idea to ask the advice of the car park warden which one to take depending on the state of the tide.
The Coast path runs along here and you can walk to Lizard point where there is the old lifeboat station and lighthouse. You may see a small herd of Shetland ponies grazing on the coastal slopes. These are there to maintain the habitat for the breeding Choughs which returned to the area in 2001.
Access – from National Trust car park down steep unmade track and steps. Not really suitable for pushchairs.
